With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Elizabeth Thompson Clayton (Loretto, Kentucky), who passed away on November 26, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roy and Mary Elizabeth Blanford Thompson; and her siblings, Rose Mary Fogle, Buster and Edwin Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband William K. "Kenny" Clayton; her children, Cheryl Clayton of Bardstown and Bill Clayton (Jackie) of New Haven; her grandchildren, Billy Joe Clayton, Jessica Clayton Blaine (Trey) and Katelyn Clayton; her great grandchildren, Logan Clayton, Mallory Thomas, Will Clayton, Brayden Clayton and Aria Clayton; and her sister-in-law Betty Lou Thompson of Loretto.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (59 New Haven Rd, Loretto, KY 40037).
