He was predeceased by: his son Marion Howard Nichols, Jr.; and his parents, Marion J. Nichols and Mary Elizabeth McGee Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Ann Gardner Nichols; his children, Rachel Pettit (Mark) of Bardstown, Lynn Cederquist of Holy Cross, David of Loretto and Daren Nichols of Loretto; and his siblings, Wayne Nichols of Leighton, Alabama. and Teresa Holmes of Leighton, Alabama.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
