She was predeceased by: her son George Stephen "Beaver" Beaven, Jr.; her parents, James Leslie and Mary Melissia Hutchins Sims; and her siblings, Sodelbia Malone, Libby Thomas, Maurita Carrico, Alicia Mattingly, Iona Miles, Louis, Norman, Freddie, Eddie and Phillip Sims.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Beaven; her children, Damon Beaven of Lexington, Alex Beaven (Stacy) of Loretto, Reina White (Kevin) of Lafayette and Helen Bischoff (Patrick) of Lexington; her daughter-in-law Kris Beaven of Louisville; and her brother Gerald Sims (Lola) of Columbus, Ohio.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
