He is survived by: his sister Lucretia Thomas; his wife Mary Catherine Elder; his sons, Chad (Karen), Rob (Belinthia) and Josh (Kim); and his grandchildren, Callie, Ryann, Meritt, Wilson, Lawson, Crawford, Harper and Sage.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Charles Catholic Church (675 State Hwy 327, Lebanon, KY 40033).
