He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa West Coyle; his parents, James Levi Harden Coyle and Pearlie Irene Hafley Coyle; and his siblings, Bertha Blakeman and Paul Coyle.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Coyle (Brenda Nelson) of Loretto and Patty Hardin (James) of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Willie Hardin, Tiffany Hardin and Terra Jane Coyle. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
