It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Mattingly of Loretto, Kentucky, born in Saint Francis, Kentucky, who passed away on June 6, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Mattingly and Amelda Cross Mattingly; and his siblings, Harold, Joe and Jellema Mattingly.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Mattingly of Prospect, Gary Mattingly (Rita) of Loretto, Vickie Inghram (Troy) of Taylorsville, Jeanne Simms (Dennis) of Bardstown and Angie Mattingly of Loretto; his grandchildren, Jessica Martin (Michael), Jonathan Mattingly (Katie), Kristin Simms and Christian Simms; his great grandchildren, Raylan Martin, Ethan and Adalee Mattingly; and his sisters, Bernice Donahue, Imogene Didelot of Floyds Knobs and Beatrice Purtiller of Louisville. He is also survived by six step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 33% occupancy.
