It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ballard (Loretto, Kentucky), who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leo; her parents, Mary Thelma Newton Mattingly and Joseph Herman Riggs; her stepfather Thomas Bud Mattingly; and her sisters, Geraldine Lucas, Barbara Ann Mudd, Jewell Marie Hagan and LaVerne Masterson.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Martha Wheatley, Susie Robey, Lynn Hall, Gina Nalley, Tiffany Montgomery, Sarah Adams of Hosparus Health and Betty; her children, David (Diane) of Bardstown, Gary (Mary) of Bardstown, Roger (Donna) of Bardstown, Lynne Robey (Mark) of Loretto, Sheila Wheatley (Keith) of Loretto and Michelle Decker of Fern Creek; and her siblings, Shirley Riggs of New Hope, Patsy Cheshire of Jeffersontown, Carl Riggs of Loretto and Jimmy Riggs (Jeanette) of Louisville. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.
