He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Schroeder Posey; his son Robert J Posey Sr.; his parents, Robert Posey and Phyllis Posey; and his sister Dorothy Boswell.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Witherspoon (David) and Scott Posey (Ashley); and his grandchildren, Ashley Peeples (Steven), Leah Asaro, Jenna Hall, Robert J Posey Jr. (Brittany), Mason Posey, Brooke Posey and Gavin Posey. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
