He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Mathews and Mary Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gayle Mathews (Pennington); his sons, William Greg Mathews and Lonnie Darrell Mathews; his grandchildren, Landon Christian Mathews and Nevaeh Grace Mathews; his stepgrandchildren, Brooklynne Faith Blair, Austin Scott Blair and Lexington Nicole Blair; his daughter-in-law Renee Mathews (Redford); his brother Willard; his sisters-in-law, Geneva Mathews of London, KY and Mary of London, KY; his brother Shelby Mathews of London, KY; his brother-in-law Vernon; and his sisters, Clara Leslie of West Virginia, Frances Pullium of Frankfort, KY and Carolyn Clark of Williamsburg, KY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
