She was predeceased by: her parents, Judge Boyd Lee Boggs and Ola Reed Boggs; her husband Lawrence "Larry" Edward Slaven; and her siblings, Patricia Downey, Linda Kay Scott, Bonnie Phillips, Duke Scott and Connor Scott.

She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Dustin Boyd Wygant (Jennifer) of Richmond and Martin G. Wygant (Susan) of Houston, Texas; her brothers, Delbert Scott (Sherry) of Oneida and Billy Ray Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio.; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, Tyler Lee, Elise and Lauren Wygant.
