He is survived by: his children, Melissa Cheek (David) of Maysville and Dallas Thomas (Cindy) of Louisville, Kentucky.; his sisters, Wanda Bruner of London and Mary Rose Pennington of Texas; and his grandchildren, Samuel Cheek (Katie) of Ludowici, Georgia, Aaron Cheek (Samantha) of Polk City, Hannah Shepherd (Adam) of Madison, Elizabeth Freeland of Barbourville and Leah Schember (Don) of Beulaville.
