He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Burns and Bessie Burns (Spurlock); and his wife Lillian Burns (Bicknell). He is survived by: his children, Steven "Andy" Burns (Lisa) of London and Lindsey Murray (David) of Hebron; his siblings, Jennings Burns (Janice), Gary Burns (Trish) and Phyllis Irvine (Donnie); and his grandchildren, Hailey Burns, Ryan Burns, Mackenzie Murray and Sydney Murray.
