He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schwenk (Coreen) and Joyce Feltner Schwenk; and his niece April Gray. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bowling Schwenk; his children, Alina Bumgardner (Aaron) of London, Ariel Nolan (Zach) of London and Scott Schwenk (Jackie) of Odessa; his sisters, Linda Thurston of Virginia and Laura Escarpita of Riverside; his grandchildren, Aaron Hope, Leelah Schwenk, Asher Schwenk, Madison Nolan and Rhett Nolan; and his great grandchild Lucas Hope.
