He was predeceased by: his wife Imogene Brown Taylor; his parents, Lester Taylor and Zella Wren Hale Taylor; his granddaughter Deserae Taylor; and his great grandchild Destiny Vineyard.

He is survived by: his children, Paula Taylor of New Port Richie, FL, David Taylor of Lutz, FL and Rodney Taylor (Rhonda) of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings, Arthur Taylor of Corbin, KY, Donald Taylor (Lou) of London, KY and Carolyn Fields (Boyd) of London, KY; his grandchildren, Seth Taylor, David P. Taylor, Danyell Taylor, Emily M. Taylor, Aaron Vineyard, Brian Vineyard and Johnny Finkelstein; and his great grandchildren, Shane Finkelstein, Selena Finkelstein and Larissa Vineyard.
