She was predeceased by: her husband James Donald Nelson Sr.; her parents, Jess Moore and Ella Mae Murphy (Smith); her children, Judy Hammons, David Neal, Francis Branstetter and Norma Jean Madden; and her sister Edith Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, James Donald Nelson Jr. of London and Luther Neal of Waynesville; her sister Imogene Lamb of Waynesville; and also, Steve Fields of Waynesville, Dale Murphy of Waynesville, Sandy Murphy of Waynesville, Geneva Blossett of Haines City, Freda Murphy of Butler and Pauline Miller of Florence. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
