He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Melton and Bulah Smith Melton; his children, Tonya Melton Geyer and Tresea Jent; and his siblings, Brenda Sue Melton and Gale Melton.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Caudill Melton; his children, Shannon Melton (Sheila) of London, KY, Davan Smith of London, KY and Jay Melton (Gail) of Lawrenceburg, IN; his siblings, Genevieve Dixon of Portsmouth, OH, Imogene Ashley of Milton, WV and Guy C. Melton (Angela) of Hurricane, WV; and his grandchildren, James Geyer, Ashley Geyer, Kristen Geyer, Jazmine Melton, Alex J. Melton, Mikayla Whitaker, Matthew Smith, Nathan Melton, Krystal Hutton, Hunter Melton, Kyky Melton and Jayna Melton. He is also survived by great grandchildren, and other family and friends.
