He is survived by: his wife Virginia Gail Smith Shifflet; his daughter Melissa Sams (Cecil Hall) of Lily; his siblings, Curtis Shifflet (Karen Shifflet) of London and Orvalee Osborne (James Osborne) of Lily; his grandson Jesse Sams (Hannah Sams); and his great grandchildren, Julie Sams and Cole Sams.
