He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hammock and Leafia Brummett Hammock; his daughters, Marlene Grubb and Juanita Faye Hammock; and his siblings, Orville Hammock and Claytus Hammock.

He is survived by: his children, Charles Hammock of London, Kentucky, Sandra Randolph of Corbin, Kentucky, Jerry Hammock (Mitsy) of Keavy, Kentucky, Hazel Johnson (Johnny) of Arkansas and Wanda Rains (Johnny) of Somerset, Kentucky; and his siblings, Shirley Hammock of London, Rosie Wells of London, Kenneth Hammock of Ohio and Verda Howard of Florida.
