He was predeceased by: his sons, Kevin Cheek and Roger Kyle Cheek; his parents, Marie Cheek Caudill and Curt Cheek; and his brothers, Gene, Jimmy, Curtis Ray and Tommy Cheek.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Hammons Cheek (Kitty); his sons, Dewayne (Peggy) of London and Donald (Valerie) of Salyersville; his stepdaughter Kristie Cheek of London, Kentucky.; and his sisters, Joyce McQueen (Vernon) and Sue Proffitt (Wayne). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
