She was predeceased by: her parents, Pleas Hubbard and Daisy Parker Hubbard; and her former husband Eugene Bustle. She is survived by: her husband John Edward Hawkins Jr.; her son Travis Hawkins (Michelle); her granddaughter Whitney; her siblings, Rosetta Jones, Madeline Fox, Myrtle Martin (Tom), Janice Burkhart (Lonnie), Elmer Hubbard (Betty), Judy Hammack and Teresa Jackson (Phillip); her nephew Jonathan Jones; and her close friend Cindy Creech.
