He is survived by: his children, Cassandra Faye Weiss of Versailles, James Leonard York of Lexington and Amanda Renea York of Nashville, Tennessee; his stepson Ronnie Messer Jr. of Barbourville, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Logan, Chloe, Benjamin and R. J..
