He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John Lewis Bill and Bessie Margaret Johnson; his former wife Shirley Morris Bill; and his siblings, Amazon, Floyd Bill and Alena Brock.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Coffey Bill; his daughter Maryanne Ferrell (Lamar) of Middletown, Ohio; his grandchildren, James Luke Ferrell and Elley Margaret Ferrell; his stepchildren, Gary of London, Greg of London, Scott of London, Kim Coffey of London and Pam Maxey of London; his sister-in-law Martha Bill of London; and his cousin Hobert Johnson (Annette) of Florence.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Robinson Creek Missionary Baptist Church in London.
