James Archie Gibbs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 89, James Archie Gibbs of London, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Gibbs and Addie Gibbs; his wife Shirley Anne Gibbs; and his siblings, Luther Gibbs, Matthew Gibbs, Paul Gibbs, Thomas Gibbs, Ruby Parmen Jarrell, Edna Parks and Edith Eaton.
He is survived by: his sister Peggy Darnell (Tom) of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Roger Gibbs (Teressa), James D. Gibbs and Hannah Gibbs; his children, James Luther Gibbs (Tammie), Alisha Sanford (Joseph), Kyle Gibbs, Gary Gibbs (Debbie), Jacob Gibbs (Alexandra), Duncan Gibbs (Miranda) and Hadley Gibbs (Isaiah Blackwell); and his great grandchildren, Egan Gibbs, Camilla Gibbs, Tristin Gibbs and Rex Sanford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home (1011 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel (1011 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Laurel Village activity fund at 815 N. Mill Street London, KY 40741.
