He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Garland and Cynthia Pennington Garland; and his siblings, Yancha Garland, Ernest Garland, Herman Garland and Wilma Wyatt.
He is survived by: his spouse Voneta Butcher Garland of London, Kentucky.; his daughter Tammy Garland (Bradley) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his brothers, Arnold "Monk" Garland of London and Elmer Garland (Letha) of Science Hill, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Gracelynn Garland and David Garland.
