She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Grimes Sr.; her son Harold Grimes Jr.; her parents, James Proffitt and Flora Collier Proffitt; and her siblings, Edith Westerfield, Edna Bowling, Ernest Proffitt, Charles Proffitt, Morris Proffitt, Norman Proffitt and Merv Proffitt.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Herbert of Columbus, Indiana; her child-in-law Andrea Grimes of London, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Matthew Grimes (Laura) of London, Kentucky., Bridget Irvine (Chris) of London, Kentucky. and Rebecca Fields of London, Kentucky.; and her great grandchildren, Brittani Meier (Cody) of Lexington, Collin Irvine, Taryn Fields, Toby Fields, Tyra Fields, Lucas Grimes and Landon Grimes of London, Kentucky..
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Children Hospital.
