Edward Lee Markham was born June 9, 1966 in Bloomington, Illinois. He was the son of the late Clarence Markham and Nora White who survives of California. He was united in marriage to Donna Daugherty Markham who survives of East Bernstadt;. He is also survived by four children, Monica Chowning (Aaron) of Burnside, Kentucky, Casandra Branson (Andrew) and Nicole Gross both of East Bernstadt, and Amanda Underwood of Pineville, Kentucky; step mother, Linda Markham of Illinois; three siblings Victoria Markham, Christopher Markham both of Illinois; Dawn Faulkner of California; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Cadence, Xavier, Addison, Makiya, Thomas, Shanell, Zamara and Nicole; one great grandchild, Malachi; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed by R-Tech.

Edward Lee Markham departed this life Tuesday, June 21, 2022 being 56 years and 12 days of age.

Memorial Services for Edward Lee Markham will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Morgan officiating.

The family will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home from 12 noon Saturday until the service hour of 1:00 pm. Military Honors will be conducted by the local DAV.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to DAV Chapter 158 Keavy, Kentucky.

Man, you weren't supposed to go before Mom or me. I miss you so much, Bro. I'm so sad and heartbroken that you are gone. You knew what being a brother was. You were actually my lifeline for the rest of the family.”

“I'm so sorry that this happened to you, and to the rest of us in the family. I wish there was something that I could have done to switch the events of that day. I really miss you, Ed. I'm still reeling with shock because of the fact that this doesn't even feel real. I love you, Bro. I wish that there was something I could do to make this family whole again.”
