He was predeceased by: his father Farris Proffitt; his spouse Jackie Barrett Proffitt; his son Randy "Pork" Proffitt; and his brother Stanley Proffitt. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jeremy Proffitt (Molly) of Gray, Brandi Hoskins (Logan) of London, Brittany Montgomery (Matt) of London and Fischer Proffitt of London; and his siblings, Homer Proffitt (June), Dillard Proffitt (Peggy), Ethel Mae Benge (Stan), JoAnn Burns and Melody Delph.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
