It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy M. Proffitt of London, Kentucky, who passed away on July 23, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Isaac Proffitt; her great great grandchild Baby Jayson Mphekgwane; her parents, Johnnie Whitis and Lydia Whitis (Cornett); and her siblings, Ella Mae Hammons, Alpha Dunn, Bernice Martin and Mack Vernus Whitis.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Bacelieri Baker (Arvil) of London and Connie Blunt (Larry) of Hamilton, Ohio; and her sibling Berlin Whitis of London, Kentucky.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Due to the Governor's mandate and Covid-19, family visitation will be from 1:00 p. m. until the service time on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
