It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Barrett Gilpin of London, Kentucky, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Elroy Gilpin (E. A.); her parents, Henry Barrett and Ettalee Barrett of Barbourville, KY; her daughter Brenda Sue Crowe (Aubrey); and her siblings, Kathleen Campbell, Ramona Hale, Clarence Barrett, Virgil Barrett and Willie Barrett.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah K. Folmer (Michael) of Lexington, KY, Elroy A. Gilpin Jr. (Phylliss) of Brooksville, FL and Michael D. Gilpin (Peggy) of London, KY; and her brother David Barrett. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Doris requested that donations be made to London Christian Academy at 1505 South Main Street London, KY 40741.
