He was predeceased by: his parents, John Conrad McCowan and Lucille Hurley McCowan; and his brothers, Dexter and Jerry McCowan. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Pfoff McCowan of London, Kentucky.; his children, David McCowan (Angie), Deanna Swafford (Kyle) of London and Diane McCowan (Corey Blue) of London; his brother Ronnie McCowan of London; his grandchildren, Madison Shears, Abby McCowan, Bella McCowan, Austin Swafford and Macee Jo Swafford; and his great grandchild Maria Elizabeth Shears.
