He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell Bentley and Crystal Burkhardt Bentley; and his siblings, Sandra Bentley, Bill Bentley, Roy Bentley, Richard Bentley, Finley Bentley, Don Bentley and Elmer Bentley.

He is survived by: his children, Penny Denise Abbott (Billy) of McKee, KY and Stacy Rush (Barry) of London, KY; his former wife Wanda Morgan; his siblings, Janice Thomas and Dale Bentley; his grandchildren, Jessica Bentley, Megan Rush, Miranda Rush and Benjamin Rush; and his great grandchildren, Amara Horn and Ollie Buttrey. He is also survived by his family and friends, and especially loved children.
