He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bert and Louvernia Hubbard Oakley; his wife Ruby Iona Hooker Oakley; his daughter Wanda Darlene Krahenbuhl; and his siblings, Dorothy Smith, Ethel Adams, Violet Dillion, Geneva Dillion, Lola Mae Oakley, Walter, Arthur, George Steve, Bert Junior, Lonnie, Everett and Randall Oakley.

He is survived by: his sons, Donnie Eugene Oakley and Larry Dean Oakley (Cathy); his siblings, Elmer of London, Ronald Oakley of London and Bessie Creech of London; his son-in-law Henry "Sonny" Krahenbuhl of London; his grandchildren, Timothy Krahenbuhl (Jeanna) of London, Jamie Krahenbuhl (Elishia) of London, Tony Krahenbuhl (Amanda) of London, Jennifer Leann Baker of London and Randy Lee Baker (Cailen) of London; and his niece Danielle Hooker McCauly of North Carolina. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
