He is survived by: his wife Alice Day Pennington; his daughter Flora Smith (Allen) of Barbourville, Kentucky; his siblings, Alice Turner of Yeaddiss, Recie Pennington of Yeaddiss, Albert Pennington of Yeaddiss, Elizabeth Joseph of Wooten, Finley Pennington of Wooten, Hettie Langdon of Hyden, Mallie Pennington of Cutshin, Elisha Pennington of Hazard and Willie Bill Pennington of Leatherwood, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Makayla Smith (Austin Gray), Brandon Smith (Becky Hensley) and Dewayne Smith; and his great grandchildren, Aliya, Breanne and Grace.
