She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawson and Mary Lawson (Johnson); her former spouse Dorsey Hurst; her husband Homer Hampton; her stepchildren, Reba (Rod Scott) of Nicholasville, KY and Wayne Hampton of London, KY.; her siblings, Vela Abbott, Edith Stewart (Ernest), Janie Onkst (Ess), Phyllis Evans (Arvel), Joann Lawson, Lee Hammack (Robert), Bud Lawson (Eva), Dutch Lawson (Bert), Clyde Lawson (Salera) and Marvin Lawson; her brother-in-law Leonard McDougall; and her nephews, Kenneth Onkst and Johnny Lawson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Gray of London, KY, Fred Lawson (Janice) of London, KY, Sallie Sue Volz (Bill) of London, KY and Mary McDougall of Grass Lake, MI; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Lawson and Opal Felts. She is also survived by 22 nephews and 7 nieces, plus a host of cousins and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home (510 E 4th St, London, KY 40741). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
