He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Katherine Pruitt Powell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Merritt Powell; his children, William Thomas Powell (Jessica Waggoner) of Flatwoods, Kentucky and Toma Dawn Powell Smith (Carl) of LaGrange, Kentucky; his siblings, David Kevin Powell (Tammie) of South Shore, William Earl Powell of Lloyd, Kentucky and Donna Lynn Black (Steve) of South Shore, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Natalie Smith, Zach Smith, Elyse Smith, Trenton Powell and Taigan Powell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
