He was predeceased by: his former wife Tonya Bradshaw Drake; his father Sherley E. "Duck" Drake; and his stepdaughter Hollie Schindler. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Anne Conrad Drake of Island; his fiancée Sandra Willis; his son Darrell Wayne Reed of Owensboro; his granddaughters, Shelby Grace and Gracie Schindler; and his sister Vicki Hughes (Jerry) of Island.
