He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbie Upchurch and Ethel Upchurch (Owens); and his siblings, Kay Upchurch and Leacher Carter. He is survived by: his daughter Cassie Upchurch Harris; and his siblings, Clyde, Keith, Curtis, Gale Upchurch, Pauline Ziglar, Marge Faye Davis and Lena Stockett. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
