He was predeceased by: his brother Robert "Sandbur" McGlinn. He is survived by: his children, LeeAnn Knasel (Kevin), Melissa McGlinn and Rynn McGlinn; his grandchildren, Anthony Pike, Haley Knasel, Taylor Knasel, Ethan Allen and Eli Allen; and his siblings, Diane Hockman, Eunice Goodman and John McGlinn.
