She was predeceased by: her parents, L. P. Sumpter and Lena Sumpter; her brother Lester Sumpter; and her brother-in-law PeeWee Boggs. She is survived by: her husband Roy Cornett; her son Roy Lee (Brittany Cornett) of Linefork; her siblings, James Paul Sumpter of Kingscreek and Jolena Boggs of Isom; her grandchildren, Trinity, Kaleb and Memphis Cornett; her close friends, Terry and Terri; and also, Roger, Cilla Fields, Billy and Iva Ingram.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Defeated Creek Old Regular Baptist Church (830 Cr-1265, Defeated Creek, KY 41833). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
