He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Shepherd and Bertha Shepherd; his siblings, Bill Shepherd and Norma "Doll" Browning; his nephew David Allen Shepherd; and his siblings-in-law, James Browning, Bill Cornett and Jean Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Shepherd of Linefork; his children, James Shepherd of Linefork, Jeff Shepherd (Angie) of Linefork and Jhonny Shepherd (Kay) of Linefork; his siblings, Bob Shepherd (Eliza) of Linefork, Carmagean "Sis" Cornett of Linefork and Jim Shepherd (Vivian) of Linefork; and his close friend Danny Fields.
