He was predeceased by: his former wife Lucy Taylor (Hampton); his parents, Demps Taylor, Sr. and Grace Taylor (Jones); and his siblings, Lloyd Taylor, Paul Taylor and Barbara Storms.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Taylor (Spurlock) of Lily; his sons, Jack Taylor (Jill) of Richmond and Paul Taylor (Mandy) of Corbin, Kentucky; his stepson Jonathan Jordan (Amy) of Lily, Kentucky; his siblings, Doyle Taylor of Corbin, Dorotha Widener of Corbin, Patricia Goodin of Corbin, Sandra Davis of Corbin and Wayne Taylor of Lily, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Morgan Taylor, Madeline Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Aleigha Taylor, Alexis Grace Taylor, Carson Taylor, Matthew Trace Jordan, Charles Todd Reed and Beve Dwayne Begley; and his great grandchildren, Addison Faith Begley and Jaiden Dwayne Begley.
