He is survived by: his wife Helen Jean Messer; his children, Crystal Mills (Timmy Joe Smith) of Girdler, Angela Lawson of Cannon and Justin Vaughn (Whitney Smith) of Lily; his stepson Doug Hensley of Lily; his siblings, Irene Hale of Green Road, Thelma Jean Hager of Woollum, Christine Young (Nancy Barnett), Patsy Jones (Janice Evans) of Girdler, Clifton Vaughn (Brenda) of North Carolina, Earl Vaughn (Shirley) of Emmenice, McKinley Vaughn (Debbie) of Woollum, Eddie Vaughn (Bobbie) of Green Road and Ted Vaughn (Sherry) of Woollum; and his grandchildren, Dustin Mills, Zachary Broughton, Miranda Lawson, Hayden Vaughn, Eian Abner, Baily and Anslee Jones.
