She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bates and Catherine Codell Bates; her husband Eugene Ellison; her son Johnny Jones; her grandson Timmy Cooper; and her siblings, Shirley Gray and Kenneth Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth F. Cooper (Gisela), Leland Hubbard (Dora) and Geneva Robinson (Denny); her grandchildren, Tammy Kniese, Tiffany Cooper, Julia Hubbard, Jeremiah Hubbard, Aubrey Hubbard, Staci Eaton and Sarah Robinson; and her brother Keith Bates. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
