She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Lay and Hazel Brackett Lay; her husband Benny Beckham Mathews; her son Terry Benny Mathews; and her siblings, Phyllis Chadwell, Regina Taylor and Sheral Lay.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa June Mathews of Liberty; and her sisters, Velma Martin of Liberty, Marcella Coffman of Liberty and Patricia Douglas of Perryville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
