William Grooms Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Grooms (Liberty, Kentucky), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grooms and Emma Jean Chelf Grooms; and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lee Grooms of Liberty; his children, Troy Grooms (Elizabeth) of Wisconsin, Angela Hughes (Bob) of Indianapolis, IN and Sally Courtney (Clint) of Jamestown, IN; his stepdaughters, Marlice York of Liberty and Michelle Shrader (Chris) of Columbia, TN; and his siblings, Ron of Jeffersonville, IN, Larry (Jennifer) of Camby, IN, Paula of Port Orange, FL and Pam of Ft. Myers, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKinney-Brown Funeral Home (752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY 42539). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
