She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Buck and Eva Wright Buck; her spouses, Russell Derringer and Herman Wayne Scott; her siblings, Mary Taylor, Ollie Gibson, Irene Buck, Francis Boggs, Onie, Herman, James Riley and Elmes Buck; and her nephew Jimmy Sandusky.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Statom of Whiteland, IN, Talmadge Derringer (Diana) of Campbellsville, Connie Posey (Gary) of Louisville, KY, Terry Derringer (Ann) of Danville, Karen Atwood (J. C.) of Liberty and Melissa Clark (Scot) of Liberty; and her sister Ova West of Nancy. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Gideon's International or Casey County Hospital Auxiliary.
