He was predeceased by: his father Merl Thomas. He is survived by: his mother Donna Evans Denson; his spouse Christy Watson Thomas; his children, McKenzie Pittman of Liberty, Kelsey Pittman (Levi) of Stanford and Blake Thomas of Liberty; his grandchildren, Sophia, Alayna, Jefferi, Kyndall, Raylyn and Malcolm; and his siblings, Brett Denson (April) of Waddy, KY, Lisa Denson, Shannon Reid (David), Jenny Dangelmaier (Brian) of Liberty, Rachel Thomas of Liberty and Sarah Moore (James).

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel (142 KY-49, Liberty, KY 42539). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
