He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Baughman of Springfield, Tammy Mattingly (Joe) of Springfield and Jodi Ponder of Harrodsburg; his siblings, Robert Ponder, Edward Ponder, Bonnie Smither and Margaret Black of Louisville; his grandchildren, Adam Atwood (Kisha), Jason Vest, Justin Vest (Meghan), Jacob Whitaker (Samantha), Maryssa Mosely (Colin) and Dylan Mattingly (Shelby); and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Hunter, Lauren, Lucy, Maryana and Marylee.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Willow Springs Cemetery (71 Clear Branch Rd, Liberty, KY 42539). The military honors was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
