It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Lay (Liberty, Kentucky), who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie C. Farmer and Mary Sears Farmer; her husband Henry Garnett Lay; and her siblings, Claude Farmer, Sylvia Sears and Fern Vanhook.
She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Allen (late Terry) of Liberty; her grandchildren, Francie Blakeman (Steve), Heather Brown (Steven), Tyler VanAllen (Melissa) and Hannah Martin (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Will, Noah, Reece, Caroline, Sadie, Allen, Braxton, Mykal and Madelynn; her great great grandchild Preston; and her caregiver Janet. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other very special caregivers.
