He was predeceased by: his parents, David P. Ponder and Dorothy Tarter Ponder; and his brother Michael Ponder. He is survived by: his wife Diann Long Ponder; his sons, Derek Ponder of Liberty and David Ponder (Shari) of Liberty; and his grandchildren, Logan, Lucas and Laura Ponder.
